 Lylanne hosted Writers Speaks Volumes! no-mic readings at Bookmamas in Irvington, Indiana (Indianpolis) the 4th Thursday every month for over three years before moving to Toledo, OH - where she takes part in readings with the Uppity Women Poets, and is planning an upcoming no-mic reading series in conjunction with Prizm Creative Community at Books-a- Million.

Lylanne's poem "Of Critics and Cats" was published in the Summer 2011 issue of Tipton Poetry Journal.

Her poems, "Breaking News," "Life Lessons," and "Consolations after a Bad Date (with Poetry)" were published in the 2011 issue of Ichabod's Sketchbook.

Her poem "A Date With Nature" was published in the 2011 Outrider Press Anthology, A Bird in the Hand.

Lylanne's poem "Perfectionist" was published in the 2010 Outrider Press Anthology, Seasons of Change. "Perfectionist" was the HM winner for poetry.

Her poem "Gesso" was published in the 2010 issue of Ichabod's Sketchbook.

Her poem "Resurrecting Poets in 2010" was published in the Winter 2010 issue of Tipton Poetry Journal.

Lylanne participated in the Founder's Day Gathering at Gallery 308 in Muncie, IN on November 6, 2009, with her two poems "Gesso" & "Another Day" that were inspired by the painting "The Fields I Flew In" by  Sarah LaBarge.

Lylanne was the featured reader at the TallGrass Writer's Guild open mic held at the Bourgeous Pig Cafe in October 2009 to debut her chapbook A Charm Bracelet for Cruising.

Her poem "The Day Truman Capote Died" was published in the August 2009 issue of PANK Magazine online.

Her poem "Grammar Blues" was published in the September 2009 issue of Umbrella.

Her poems " Cruising, 1975," "Outside the Coffee Shop," & "Some Memories are Better than Others," were published in the October 2009 issue of Wilderness House Literary Review.

Her poem "If You Only Knew" won the Eli Jenkins' Five and Country Senses Competition in Chicago, is September 2009. That poem can be found at Caffeine Theatre.

Lylanne's poem "Seductive State" is in the spring 2009 issue of Tipton Poetry Journal. 

Her poems "We Grow 'em Big" and "Manipulation" were published in the inaugural issue of Ichabod's Sketchbook - 2009.

Lylanne won 3rd place & $100 for her poem "A Paparazzi Moment" in the Masterpiece in a Day 2008 competition in Fountain Square - an arts district on the south east side of Indianapolis. Lylanne previously won 2nd place with poems written in the annual 6 hour competition in 2005 & 2006.

Lylanne was one of 36 Indiana published poets that participant in Arts Kalideoscope - A Film, Poetry & Art event in Muncie, Indiana. The poetry reading was held on Saturday, October 4th at the Cornerstone Arts Center. The art and poetry is on exhibit at Gallery 308 in Muncie through the month of October 2008.
